IYIA LIU HAS ALWAYS HAD AN ENTREPRENEURIAL SPIRIT. SHE WANTED TO BE HER OWN BOSS WAY BACK IN HER UNI DAYS, AND HER FIRST BIG VENTURE AFTER GRADUATING WAS BRINGING THE WAIST TRAINER TO NEW ZEALAND AND AUSTRALIA.

Starting from a base of smart digital marketing, that early business became a resounding success. Since then she’s sold three successful businesses (most of us would be happy just starting one!) and has founded an organisation called Girls in Business, which helps entrepreneurial-minded women connect, share experiences, and support each other. Girls in Business boasts 50,000 members and sees Iyia speaking around the country and internationally. So why did Iyia pick her own name as a personalised plate? It wasn’t just to make her plate number easier to remember when paying for parking. Like many entrepreneurs, her business and personal brands are one and the same. Now IYIA leads with her brand wherever she goes.
